Moving on Up

Bit slack on this, as I don’t tend read the UCI site much but this caught my eye:

“Mountain Bike Commission: new members
During the Management Committee of September 2005, four members have been appointed to form the UCI MTB Commission. As from now, two additional members have joined the UCI Commission: Mrs Helen Mortimer (GBR, “downhill” representative) and Mr Thierry Maréchal (BEL).”

Congratulations to Helen Mortimer, good to have someone else fighting OUR corner.

The Orme boys have been busy...

Old & Slow

Noticed some Mexican/Brazilian type 2s on downhillagogo so I decided to take a look, found some here.
Nice but the cost the UK is huge! £12,425 + VAT for a right hand drive panel van plus any extras you might want like…
Radio cassette or single slot CD radio & 4 speakers (removable front panel) - £489.00
Immobiliser (factory fitted) - £189.00
Heated rear window - £199.00
…that usually come as standard on a modern van!
You’re talking VW transporter or Merc Vito money.

If it was around half of that I might be interested, the price seems way too high for something that might not make it to Fort Bill or Les Gets.
