The Fort William Mountain Festival
The Fort William Mountain Festival runs from 16th February to 3rd March 2007 and is a two week celebration of mountains and the culture that surrounds them. During the best winter walking and climbing conditions of the year audiences will be entertained by a varied and very full programme of lectures, films, activities, exhibitions, plays and music. An annual feature of the Lochaber events calendar since 2000, the event was formerly known as the Fort William Mountain Film Festival and for 2007 will feature an extended programme to coincide with and celebrate The Highland Year of Culture 2007. The full programme will be announced in late November 2006, highlights will include the Best of Banff Film Festival, lectures, activities, films, skills workshops, music, theatre, book readings, art and photography. www.mountainfestival.co.uk
