The Fort William Mountain Festival

The Fort William Mountain Festival runs from 16th February to 3rd March 2007 and is a two week celebration of mountains and the culture that surrounds them. During the best winter walking and climbing conditions of the year audiences will be entertained by a varied and very full programme of lectures, films, activities, exhibitions, plays and music. An annual feature of the Lochaber events calendar since 2000, the event was formerly known as the Fort William Mountain Film Festival and for 2007 will feature an extended programme to coincide with and celebrate The Highland Year of Culture 2007.
The full programme will be announced in late November 2006, highlights will include the Best of Banff Film Festival, lectures, activities, films, skills workshops, music, theatre, book readings, art and photography.

intresting

On Mick (Hannah) racing MX.
"It was soo awesome to watch the man I love getting to do something he truly enjoys. To all you girls who struggle with a control that would try and stop your husband or boyfriend from doing something he loves, your making a huge mistake. I see a lot of that in the sports industry, and I see how it destroys relationships, and the men who are held back. You love your man for who he is, so allow him to do the things that make in who he is! A MAN!!! Same for men. Women need to do the things that make us feel like women, so give us the freedom to do the things that make us the woman you fell in love with. I’m sorry to go off on this rant, but I just see too much of this! I want to see relationships succeed, but these issues need to be addressed first."
